Myrto Zarzalis, born in 1995, gained her first stage experience at an early age by singing children's roles in operas at the Badisches Staatstheater. She studied to became a teacher majoring in music, and also studied BA recorder under Prof. Karel van Steenhoven at the HfM Karlsruhe, as well as cultural studies and mathematics at KIT.

Among other things, she has won several prizes at the Handel Youth Competition Händel-Jugendwettbewerb in Karlsruhe, the federal competition Jugend musiziert, as well as the 1st prize of the competition Schulmusikwettbewerb of the HfM in Karlsruhe in 2016. She received further impulses in master classes from Michael Schneider, Han Tol and Maurice Steger. During her studies she was supported by a scholarship from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

Her enthusiasm for choral music inspired her interest in choral conducting during her studies, so that she has been working regularly with both children's and youth choirs as well as adult choirs, and has been active as a vocal trainer on projects in various vocal ensembles and theater projects. She currently has a teaching position at the Center for Applied Cultural Studies at KIT for the direction of the International Choir, which she founded herself in WS 18/19.

In addition, Myrto Zarzalis is a member of the “JungeKollektivMusikTheater” association and took on the role of musical assistant in the production of Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor in summer 2020 and Mozarts Requiem in summer 2021.
